Platform
Prepare materials for external outreach to investors, strategic partners and in targeted platform campaigns, and support coordination of external events.
Research
Contribute to 2150’s knowledge building and sectoral research by developing specific subject matter expertise.

Further, the candidate should have an advanced degree in sustainability, environmental science or other sciences, engineering, business or finance.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency in or understanding of:
- Research and synthesis. Rapid absorption and clear distillation of complex and often quantitative challenges to inform investment discussions and other analyses.

- Sustainable urban technologies and strategies. Technical knowledge of the systems and components that drive cities’ impacts and contribute to their decarbonisation and sustainable development.
- Presentation skills. Proficiency in slide preparation and communicating key messages to a range of stakeholders.
- Stakeholder engagement. Ability to assess opportunities to positively contribute to members of the 2150 network.
- Greenhouse gas modelling and associated tools. Ability to assess scope 1 through 3 emissions, including using tools such as life cycle assessments to evaluate unit level impacts.
- Policy analysis. Ability to assess the impacts of policy and regulatory developments on sectors’ functioning, technology uptake or investment opportunities.
Additionally, the ideal candidate aligns with the following:
- Analytically proven: At least 1-2 years’ experience in an investment organization or consulting firm.

- Entrepreneurial mindset: Comfortable with the evolving nature of a growing organization and willing to take initiative to constantly improve the team, benefit our investments and help us all become better in service of our ecosystem and portfolio.
- Independent but collaborative: Able to work independently but aware of the need to be inclusive and collaborative with the broader team.
- Mission alignment: The 2150 team works hard, but we do so because we believe in the potential and critical impact of the technologies that we back and we are, as a team, fully aligned around the mission at hand.
- Flexibility. You have the versatility to work with the team on a number of core problems and don’t mind taking on any task at a high pace. You can manage priorities, take initiative and work on multiple projects at once
- Right to work in the UK: We are unable to offer placement visas for this role
